Rugrats in Paris: The Movie is a video game based on the movie of the same name from the Nickelodeon animated series, Rugrats. The game follows the adventures of a group of young children in a European theme park. A Dreamcast version of the game was planned to be made, but it was later cancelled. Tommy Pickles' father has been sent to Europe in order to fix a broken robot at EuroReptar Land and has decided to bring his family and friends with him. The player can choose between Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, Angelica, or Kimi to play as. There are approximately 16 levels, as well as hidden bonus levels, in both single and multi-player games. The object of the game is to collect enough gold Reptar tickets to buy the Reptar Helmet that controls a Giant Robot Reptar. The PC version does not include collecting Reptar tickets, and it seems to be centered more around Chuckie and his concern about his father, who plans to re-marry. |
There are two components for playing a psx Rugrats in Paris: The Movie rom on your PC. The first component is the emulation program which can imitate the psx OS and software.
The second component is the Rugrats in Paris: The Movie rom itself to play on the emulator.
Step 1: you can start by downloading a reliable and bug free emulator. We’d suggest Retroarch – it’s open source, fast and one of the most frequently updated.
Once you have finished downloading Retroarch, extract the downloaded .zip file to a location, for example your Desktop. After, double click the RetroArch-1.7.5-x86-setup.exe file in order to start the emulator.
Your emulator will now be ready to play Rugrats in Paris: The Movie rom. But now you’ll need to find the correct ROMs online. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator.
Step 2: return to Retroarch and hit File > Open. Navigate to the downloaded .exe file and double click it to open it. The game will now run on the emulator and you can play the game freely.
Tip: Saving games on an emulator functions a little differently. The integrated save system will not save your progress.
Instead, you’ll need to click File > Save State and then choose an empty slot. You can save your progress in whatever point you like within the game, not only on the official checkpoints offered by the game.
When playing in the future and you want to continue from your saved state, you can use File > Load State to load up the game from exactly where you last saved it.
