Psychic Force 2012 is a 1998 arcade fighting game developed by Taito Corporation as the sequel to their 1995 title, Psychic Force. The game was first released in arcades in 1998 and was then ported a year later to the Sega Dreamcast, becoming one of the console's earliest titles when it was released in Japan on March 4, 1999. A North American version was released on October 31, 1999, through the now-defunct distributor Acclaim. The game was also adapted for the Sony PlayStation and released under the title of Psychic Force 2 in Japan on October 7, 1999 and the PAL Regions in 2001. This version featured downgraded graphics, but had included several extra modes, an animated FMV intro, and three returning characters from the original Psychic Force who had been omitted in Psychic Force 2012. In 2006, Psychic Force 2012 was re-released as part of as an anniversary pack for the PlayStation 2 titled Psychic Force Complete, which had included the original Psychic Force and a special exclusive remixed version of 2012 titled Psychic Force 2012 EX. Location test for the Taito NESiCAxLive version occurred between 2012-11-02 and 2012-11-06. |
There are two components for playing a psx Psychic Force 2012 rom on your PC. The first component is the emulation program which can imitate the psx OS and software.
The second component is the Psychic Force 2012 rom itself to play on the emulator.
Step 1: you can start by downloading a reliable and bug free emulator. We’d suggest Retroarch – it’s open source, fast and one of the most frequently updated.
Once you have finished downloading Retroarch, extract the downloaded .zip file to a location, for example your Desktop. After, double click the RetroArch-1.7.5-x86-setup.exe file in order to start the emulator.
Your emulator will now be ready to play Psychic Force 2012 rom. But now you’ll need to find the correct ROMs online. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator.
Step 2: return to Retroarch and hit File > Open. Navigate to the downloaded .exe file and double click it to open it. The game will now run on the emulator and you can play the game freely.
Tip: Saving games on an emulator functions a little differently. The integrated save system will not save your progress.
Instead, you’ll need to click File > Save State and then choose an empty slot. You can save your progress in whatever point you like within the game, not only on the official checkpoints offered by the game.
When playing in the future and you want to continue from your saved state, you can use File > Load State to load up the game from exactly where you last saved it.
