Madden NFL 2000 is a football video game. This was the second of the Madden NFL games to not solely feature John Madden on the cover in North America. The only other one was Madden NFL '95. Most versions of the game cover featured Madden prominently in the foreground, and a recognizable Barry Sanders in a background action graphic. The European PAL edition features only Dorsey Levens on the cover. The video at the introduction on the CD-ROM versions of the game is an unnamed track by rapper Ludacris. It was the first Madden game to be released for the Game Boy Color. It was also the first Madden game to be released on both PC and Mac. The Green Bay Packers had the best team overall in the game with a score of 94. The worst team in the game was the Cleveland Browns with a score of 68, although the Philadelphia Eagles were close to being worse, with a rating of 72. The best offense in the game belongs to the Denver Broncos with a score of 97. The best defense in the game belongs to the Miami Dolphins with a score of 96. The best special teams in the game belongs to both the Buffalo Bills and Atlanta Falcons with a score of 97. |
There are two components for playing a n64 Madden NFL 2000 rom on your PC. The first component is the emulation program which can imitate the n64 OS and software.
The second component is the Madden NFL 2000 rom itself to play on the emulator.
Step 1: you can start by downloading a reliable and bug free emulator. We’d suggest Mupen – it’s open source, fast and one of the most frequently updated.
Once you have finished downloading Mupen, extract the downloaded .zip file to a location, for example your Desktop. After, double click the mupen64.exe file in order to start the emulator.
Your emulator will now be ready to play Madden NFL 2000 rom. But now you’ll need to find the correct ROMs online. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator.
Step 2: return to Mupen and hit File > Open. Navigate to the downloaded .exe file and double click it to open it. The game will now run on the emulator and you can play the game freely.
Tip: Saving games on an emulator functions a little differently. The integrated save system will not save your progress.
Instead, you’ll need to click File > Save State and then choose an empty slot. You can save your progress in whatever point you like within the game, not only on the official checkpoints offered by the game.
When playing in the future and you want to continue from your saved state, you can use File > Load State to load up the game from exactly where you last saved it.
