PGA Tour is a series of golf video games developed and published by Electronic Arts. First introduced in 1998 as part of the company's EA Sports line, the series primarily features courses featured on the U.S. PGA Tour, and other notable courses. From its introduction until 2015, Tiger Woods served as the namesake and cover athlete of the series, which was known as Tiger Woods PGA Tour. In in October 2013, EA announced that it would end its relationship with Woods, and be replaced by a new golfer on the next instalment. On March 16, 2015, it was announced that Rory McIlroy—the current top golfer in the world, would become the new title athlete of the franchise, which will now be known as Rory McIlroy PGA Tour. Although EA Sports developed most games in the series internally, some SKUs have come from outside developers including the first edition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour '99, which Adrenalin Entertainment developed in conjunction with EA for the PlayStation and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001 for the PlayStation, which was developed by Stormfront Studios. IOMO also produced versions of the game for mobile phones for the 2002, 2004, and 2005 editions.
There are two components for playing a psp Tiger Woods PGA Tour game on your PC. The first component is the emulation program which can imitate the psp OS and software.
The second component is the Tiger Woods PGA Tour game itself to play on the emulator.
Step 1: you can start by downloading a reliable and bug free emulator. We’d suggest PPSSPP – it’s open source, fast and one of the most frequently updated.
Once you have finished downloading PPSSPP, extract the downloaded .zip file to a location, for example your Desktop. After, double click the PPSSPPWindows.exe file in order to start the emulator.
Your emulator will now be ready to play Tiger Woods PGA Tour. But now you’ll need to find the correct ROMs online. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator.
Step 2: return to PPSSPP and hit File > Open. Navigate to the downloaded .exe file and double click it to open it. The game will now run on the emulator and you can play the game freely.
Tip: Saving games on an emulator functions a little differently. The integrated save system will not save your progress.
Instead, you’ll need to click File > Save State and then choose an empty slot. You can save your progress in whatever point you like within the game, not only on the official checkpoints offered by the game.
When playing in the future and you want to continue from your saved state, you can use File > Load State to load up the game from exactly where you last saved it.
