Description

Iron Soldier 3 is an action game developed by Eclipse Software Design for the PlayStation console and Nuon DVD players that was released in 2000. The player controls a 42-foot-tall robot to defend the United Republic, one of the last free countries left in this futuristic world, from PENTA Industries, one of the many huge corporations that became more powerful with the rapid industrialization of the world. Iron Soldier 3 is a sequel to the Atari Jaguar games Iron Soldier and Iron Soldier 2. At the player's disposal, the player will have a large array of weapons which the player can attach to their Iron Soldier unit. There are machine guns, missiles, grenades, a flame thrower, and more. In addition to the standard Iron Soldier, the player can pilot a smaller, faster chicken-walker type robot and a new slower, more heavily armed walker. There are new game modes added since the Iron Soldier 2. There is still a single player mode, with 25 missions to complete. Now there is also an arcade mode, where the objective is to level every building in the area in the fastest time possible. Finally, for the first time there is a two player mode.

How To Play Iron Soldier 3 On PC

There are two components for playing a psx Iron Soldier 3 game on your PC. The first component is the emulation program which can imitate the psx OS and software.

The second component is the Iron Soldier 3 game itself to play on the emulator.

Step 1: you can start by downloading a reliable and bug free emulator. We’d suggest Retroarch – it’s open source, fast and one of the most frequently updated.

Once you have finished downloading Retroarch, extract the downloaded .zip file to a location, for example your Desktop. After, double click the RetroArch-1.7.5-x86-setup.exe file in order to start the emulator.

Your emulator will now be ready to play Iron Soldier 3. But now you’ll need to find the correct ROMs online. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator.

Step 2: return to Retroarch and hit File > Open. Navigate to the downloaded .exe file and double click it to open it. The game will now run on the emulator and you can play the game freely.

Tip: Saving games on an emulator functions a little differently. The integrated save system will not save your progress.
Instead, you’ll need to click File > Save State and then choose an empty slot. You can save your progress in whatever point you like within the game, not only on the official checkpoints offered by the game.

When playing in the future and you want to continue from your saved state, you can use File > Load State to load up the game from exactly where you last saved it.
