Description

Dino Crisis is a survival horror video game developed and produced by Capcom originally for the Sony PlayStation console in 1999. Directed by Shinji Mikami, Dino Crisis was developed by the same team behind Capcom's Resident Evil, and shares many similarities with the Resident Evil games that preceded it, but is more action-oriented. Players control Regina, a redheaded special operations agent who is part of a team sent to investigate a mysterious island facility. Finding the place overrun with vicious dinosaurs, Regina must fight through the Velociraptor-filled facility to discover what happened and ultimately escape alive. The game mixes exploration and puzzle-based gameplay with traditional survival horror mechanics. Dino Crisis has been ported to the Sega Dreamcast and Microsoft Windows, as well as being re-released for the PlayStation Network. The game spawned two sequels, Dino Crisis 2 and Dino Crisis 3, as well as a light gun-based spinoff in Capcom's Gun Survivor series, known as Dino Stalker.

How To Play Dino Crisis On PC

There are two components for playing a psx Dino Crisis game on your PC. The first component is the emulation program which can imitate the psx OS and software.

The second component is the Dino Crisis game itself to play on the emulator.

Step 1: you can start by downloading a reliable and bug free emulator. We’d suggest Retroarch – it’s open source, fast and one of the most frequently updated.

Once you have finished downloading Retroarch, extract the downloaded .zip file to a location, for example your Desktop. After, double click the RetroArch-1.7.5-x86-setup.exe file in order to start the emulator.

Your emulator will now be ready to play Dino Crisis. But now you’ll need to find the correct ROMs online. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator.

Step 2: return to Retroarch and hit File > Open. Navigate to the downloaded .exe file and double click it to open it. The game will now run on the emulator and you can play the game freely.

Tip: Saving games on an emulator functions a little differently. The integrated save system will not save your progress.
Instead, you’ll need to click File > Save State and then choose an empty slot. You can save your progress in whatever point you like within the game, not only on the official checkpoints offered by the game.

When playing in the future and you want to continue from your saved state, you can use File > Load State to load up the game from exactly where you last saved it.
