Description

Contra 4 is a 2D action game for the Nintendo DS and the eleventh original installment in the Contra series. The game was released in North America on November 13, 2007. Contra 4 was produced by Konami Digital Entertainment in America and developed by WayForward Technologies, making it the first Contra game developed by them, as well as the first original Contra game for a portable platform since the 1991 Game Boy game Operation C. As the game's title indicates, Contra 4 was designed to be a direct sequel to the Contra games for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Super NES, with a gameplay model similar to those games, and was also in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the original Contra. A Japanese version has been released on March 13, 2008 under the title of Contra: Dual Spirits. No European or Australian version of the game has ever been released.

How To Play Contra 4 On PC

There are two components for playing a ds Contra 4 game on your PC. The first component is the emulation program which can imitate the ds OS and software.

The second component is the Contra 4 game itself to play on the emulator.

Step 1: you can start by downloading a reliable and bug free emulator. We’d suggest NO$GBA – it’s open source, fast and one of the most frequently updated.

Once you have finished downloading NO$GBA , extract the downloaded .zip file to a location, for example your Desktop. After, double click the no$gba.exe file in order to start the emulator.

Your emulator will now be ready to play Contra 4. But now you’ll need to find the correct ROMs online. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator.

Step 2: return to NO$GBA and hit File > Open. Navigate to the downloaded .exe file and double click it to open it. The game will now run on the emulator and you can play the game freely.

Tip: Saving games on an emulator functions a little differently. The integrated save system will not save your progress.
Instead, you’ll need to click File > Save State and then choose an empty slot. You can save your progress in whatever point you like within the game, not only on the official checkpoints offered by the game.

When playing in the future and you want to continue from your saved state, you can use File > Load State to load up the game from exactly where you last saved it.
