Description

Advance Wars: Dual Strike, known in Japan as Famicom Wars DS, is a turn-based tactics video game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld game console. It is the third installment in the Advance Wars series and was released in Japan on June 23, 2005, in North America on August 22, 2005, in Europe on September 30, 2005, and in Australia on March 22, 2006. The game is preceded by Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising and Advance Wars and succeeded by Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. Advance Wars is the international title of the Wars video game series, which dates back to the Family Computer game Famicom Wars in 1988. The storyline is a continuation of the previous series and is set in the new location of Omega Land. Black Hole has returned under the leadership of a new commander who seeks to give himself eternal life by draining the energy of Omega Land. The Allied Nations struggle to overcome this threat and are eventually joined by several former Black Hole commanding officers in an effort to save the land. Advance Wars: Dual Strike was well-received, receiving an aggregate score of 90% and at both Game Rankings and Metacritic.

How To Play Advance Wars: Dual Strike On PC

There are two components for playing a ds Advance Wars: Dual Strike game on your PC. The first component is the emulation program which can imitate the ds OS and software.

The second component is the Advance Wars: Dual Strike game itself to play on the emulator.

Step 1: you can start by downloading a reliable and bug free emulator. We’d suggest NO$GBA – it’s open source, fast and one of the most frequently updated.

Once you have finished downloading NO$GBA , extract the downloaded .zip file to a location, for example your Desktop. After, double click the no$gba.exe file in order to start the emulator.

Your emulator will now be ready to play Advance Wars: Dual Strike. But now you’ll need to find the correct ROMs online. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator.

Step 2: return to NO$GBA and hit File > Open. Navigate to the downloaded .exe file and double click it to open it. The game will now run on the emulator and you can play the game freely.

Tip: Saving games on an emulator functions a little differently. The integrated save system will not save your progress.
Instead, you’ll need to click File > Save State and then choose an empty slot. You can save your progress in whatever point you like within the game, not only on the official checkpoints offered by the game.

When playing in the future and you want to continue from your saved state, you can use File > Load State to load up the game from exactly where you last saved it.
