Nintendo has released the launch trailer for Fire Emblem Engage , which became available today exclusively on Nintendo Switch . The new addition to the series takes place on Elyos, a new continent consisting of four kingdoms.
The story begins and focuses on a fierce war that broke out a thousand years ago between all the inhabitants of Elyos and a dragon known as the Fell Dragon. The new video wants to give you a new look at the tactical RPG title and focuses on the characters and of course the battles, which are the core of this Fire Emblem as well.
The official summary of the game:
During this war, the people of Elyos called on the Emblems – heroes from other worlds – to help them. With the Emblems at their side, the warriors of each nation fought as one and, in the end, successfully imprisoned the Fell Dragon. However, signs are now emerging that the Fell Dragon may soon be resurrected…
Take on the role of Alear, the Divine Dragon, who wakes up a thousand years after the war with no memory of their past. Answer the call to arms and fight alongside your allies in tactical RPG battles to prevent the resurrection of the Fell Dragon.
Amplify your strength on the battlefield by summoning Emblems – including Marth, Celica and other heroes from previous Fire Emblem titles – that reside within special Emblem Rings. By wearing these rings, Alear and their allies can borrow the power of these Emblems, boosting their stats or granting access to even more powerful abilities. Heroes can also "engage" with Emblems, combining their power and unlocking unique tactics to deal with the enemy.
