Lionsgate is up to something...
Being one of the most successful action films of recent years and the role that revived Keanu Reeves' career, John Wick is a landmark film in the genre. Now we're learning that in addition to the movies, John Wick will also be getting a full- length, regular video game based on the Keanu Reeves performer.
At least these are the plans of the production company Lionsgate, which is considering its options and the studio that will undertake the project. According to Lionsgate president Jon Feltheimer, it will be a AAA production, although he did not want to give any further information about the project at this time.
The fact that this is a AAA John Wick video game means that it will be a big production and thus a studio of similar scope. So we await the relevant announcements from Lionsgate for this interesting project. Which studio do you think would be a good fit for a John Wick game?
For the record, John Wick Hex was released in 2020, which was a turn-based RPG experience, rather than a game reminiscent of a classic shooter.
As far as the movie part is concerned, John Wick: Chapter 4 is expected to be released in theaters on March 24, 2023, while John Wick 5 is also expected sometime later.
